Flashcards on Apple TV

People AirPlay flashcards to their TV from a treadmill. Anki users have asked for a tvOS app for years. Interact just built one: a native Apple TV app that puts your review queue on the biggest screen in the house.

What you can do on the TV

1. Play your daily queue

Flashcards, multiple choice quizzes, fill-in-the-blanks, typed answers, and image occlusions all play natively with the Siri Remote.

2. Answer by voice

Typed answers use the tvOS keyboard, which supports dictation. Say the answer instead of hunting for letters with the remote.

3. Check your plan and progress

Browse your subjects, goals, and progress from the couch. Saved YouTube resources can deep-link straight into the YouTube app on your TV.

4. Stay in sync

Reviews on the TV count like reviews anywhere else. Your queue, streak, and progress carry across web, iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch.

Why a TV app at all?

Because review happens where you already are. Ten minutes on the couch after dinner, a queue on the screen while you're on the exercise bike, or a family quiz round where everyone shouts at the same card.

The big screen also makes shared studying practical in a way a phone never will be. Two people, one queue, honest arguments about the answer.

Common questions

Is it really native, not mirroring?

Really native. Interact for Apple TV is a tvOS app you install from the App Store on the TV, with an interface built for the remote. No AirPlay, no phone required on the couch.

Can I create cards on the TV?

Creation lives on the web, iPhone, and iPad, where keyboards and cameras are. The TV is for playing and reviewing. Everything you make elsewhere shows up instantly.

Does it cost extra?

No. One account works across every platform, and the free plan includes the TV app.

How do I get it?

Search for Interact in the App Store on your Apple TV, or find it on the App Store listing. Sign in and your queue is waiting.
